The 434 yard straight away par 4- 10th requires both distance and accuracy off the tee. The hole is lined down the right side with a grove of trees, and the left side protected by a creek that cuts in front of the green 100 yards out. After a solid tee shot the player is left with between 175 and 150 yards to a large back to front sloping green that is guarded left and right by newly renovated bunkers.

This 437 yard dog-leg right par 4 is consistently considered the most difficult hole. Shorter hitters can afford to hit driver off the tee to the corner of the dog-leg. Longer hitters need to hit a long iron off the tee, because driver would put them in the trees straight away leaving the player blocked from any second shot to the green. The only requirement is to carry the 70 or more trees that guard the right side of the hole, and the creek that divides the hole at 150 yards.

The 524 yard par 5, 12th is the longest hole on the golf course by nearly 100 yards. From the tee box players are required to hit their ball down the right side of the hole avoiding the 40 plus foot trees that guard either side of the fairway. After this is accomplished, players then have a choice of either hitting a mid to long iron down to the 150 yard marker leaving themselves a comfortable distance, or hitting a fairway wood to get themselves as far down the hole as possible.

This unassuming 215 yard par 3 is quietly difficult. While being guarded on three sides by bunkers, players who had hopes of landing the ball short of the green and letting it roll up will be disappointed, because of the false front that prevents shots from doing so. Players are forced to carry the ball at least 200 yards to the front of a green that slopes towards the right green side bunkers. A par here is an excellent score and a green in regulation is something to be proud of.

The par 4 378 yard 14th is yet another difficult dog-leg right. Players need to hit their tee ball straight away or with a slight draw down the left side of the hole, and carry the two towering trees that guard the edge of the fairway. If this is successfully accomplished, the player is left with between 150 and 125 yards to a back to front sloping green that traditionally holds shots very well.

The easiest hole on the golf course is the 323 yard par 4- 15th. Long hitters looking to make up ground can easily reach the front approach, leaving themselves little more than a pitch shot to the green. Shorter hitters however, need to play the hole straight away or with a slight fade to avoid the three fairway bunkers located on the left side at 100 yards out. After successfully doing so, the player will have pitching wedge to a very wide green and an excellent chance for par or birdie.

The 200 yard par 3- 16th is excellent follow up from the 15th hole. After players walk off the green from the easiest hole, they immediately come to this daunting par three over the Kishwaukee River. This hole traditionally plays into a cross-wind, making club selection difficult. The green is protected in front not only by the river, but by a difficult bunker as well. Anything short is either wet or in the sand, and anything long is out of bounds.

Measuring at 384 yards, the par 4 17th can play as long or as short as the player wants. With a tee shot over the Kishwaukee River required, the longer hitters can take a more direct approach to the hole. The player will have sand wedge to a severely undulated green where shot placement is key. Shorter hitters will need to take a more traditional approach to the hole hitting their tee ball straight away, while avoiding the left side fairway bunkers located at 125 yards from the hole.

The 362 yard par4-18th is an excellent finishing hole. Players need to negotiate their tee shot into a landing area of twenty yards between the two massive fairway bunkers. The player will be left with between a six iron and 9 iron to the green. If the hole location is on the second tier, it is imperative that the player take less club and play for the front of the green.
